Please Note: Under the NSW Occupational Health and Safety Clothing Factory Regulation 2000 clothing factory operators must be registered.
According to Local Council Zoning regulations, a factory employing individuals for the manufacture of clothing CAN NOT be registered in domestic premises. You may not operate a clothing "factory" from home.
If you are an outworker working by yourself from home with a maxiumum of 4 machines, you may apply to yuor local council for a Home Business registration. If you are an outworker you DO NOT engage others to work with you.
Award Pay and Conditions:
The latest minimum pay increase came into effect on December 2nd 2006.
If you are a PTY LTD company in any of the Textile Clothing or Footwear Industries minimum employee pay rates are as follows:
