Membership benefits for NSW include:
- RECOVERY OF UNDER PAYMENT OF ENTITLEMENTS: The Union has recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars in underpayments of wages and entitlements for members in the past 12 months alone.
The TCFUA forced the Federal Government to start the EESS and the GEERS scheme which protects workers entitlements, even when a company goes belly up.
- HELP IN ENTERPRISE NEGOTIATIONS:
Union negotiated agreements give higher wages and better conditions. We currently have in place Enterprise agreements with most major Textile Clothing and Footwear manufacturers in NSW.
- ADVICE and REPRESENTATION on your rights and responsibilities in the workplace.
- LEGAL ASSISTANCE in industrial courts (lawyer/barristers cost up to $5000 per day. But this is free if the Union handles your case).
- Workers Compensation CLAIMS (outcomes are generally better for union members). - Mortality fund for you and/or your spouse ($1500 for a member / $1000 for a spouse)
- LEGAL DRAFTING of your last Will & Testament.
