The TCFUA (Victorian Branch) runs a series of English classes for TCF wokers to help non-native speakers of english to improve their language, literacy and numeracy.
The classes offer good opportunities to practice reading, writing, listening, speaking and pronunciation and to help workers develop a better understanding of workers' rights and entitlements. The course also covers units from the Clothing/Textile Productions Certificates including Occupational Health and Safety issues.
So if English is your second langauge and you work in textile, clothing, footwear or if you work at home sewing clothes, and would like to:
- Feel more confident understanding, speaking, reading and writing English?
- Meet other worker and make new friends?
- Get part of a Certificate in Clothing/Textile Production?
...and have some fun?
Then come to the Union's free English classes held in either Glenroy, Broadmeadows, Footscray, St Albans, Springvale, Fitzroy, Preston, Sunshine or Lalor.
